Environment specialists are covering northern Italy’s Presena icy mass, which has been contracting, with long pieces of fabric to forestall the snow underneath from softening. The interaction, which has been done each year since 2008, requires a whole month to finish. A group spreads out 5-meter-wide and 70-meter-long strips to cover nearly 1,20,000 square meters of the icy mass.
