Kolkata, Jul 16 West Bengal Education Minister
Bratya Basu on Friday affirmed that the BJP was attempting to “saffronise schooling” by precluding sections on secularism in states where the gathering is in power.
Basu, who was tending to a question and answer session, was mentioned to remark on the Uttar Pradesh government’s transition to avoid a story by Rabindranath Tagore from school educational plan.
“The BJP is attempting to saffronise instruction. In the event that they have discarded Tagore’s story from prospectus, it shows their backward outlook. Tagore is a common character as is clear from his works.
“Clearly the BJP isn’t happy with such philosophies. Henceforth they continue to eliminate works of Tagore, Dr Radhakrishnan from school educational program,” Basu said.
He guaranteed that the BJP hawks folklore as history in reading material of Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.
In sharp difference, the prospectus in West Bengal schools is comprehensive as it discusses our pluralistic qualities, our global standpoint, patriotism and genuine and real history, the priest added.
