A 32-year-old resident of Mumbai’s Dombivli, who arrived from South Africa via Delhi on November 24, has tested positive for COVID-19. His samples have been sent for genome sequencing to ascertain if he is carrying the Omicron COVID-19 variant. “He is asymptomatic and had home quarantined himself. Later, Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation quarantined him in an institution,” an official said.
