A head constable with the Mumbai police office, who had been posted as megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s protector since 2015, was moved in the midst of reports of him supposedly procuring Rs 1.5 crore yearly, an authority said on Friday.
The head constable, Jitendra Shinde, has been moved to D B Marg Police Station in South Mumbai as a feature of a standard exchange, the authority said.
He was moved 15 days prior and it was formally distributed in a police notice around then, he said.
Bachchan has been given ‘X’ class security by the Mumbai police. Shinde turned into a piece of that security cover after he was given the obligation of being the entertainer’s protector in 2015, the authority added.
According to the rules, a police constable can’t progress forward similar post past five years, the he said.
A media report distributed as of late asserted that Shinde procured Rs 1.5 crore yearly pay while being posted as the genius’ protector.
Sources in the police office said that Shinde is one of the confided in protectors and could be spotted with Bachchan as a feature of his security cover.
