BJP leader Kirit Somaiya was detained on Monday at Karad railway station in Maharashtra’s Satara and later taken to the Circuit House by Mumbai Police. Somaiya was scheduled to visit Kolhapur to prove his allegations of corruption against state minister Hasan Mushrif. Kolhapur collector issued prohibitory orders against him and imposed Section 144, prohibiting gatherings on September 20 and 21.
