Extravagance vehicle proprietor reserved for Rs 35,000 force burglary, pays sum after case recorded

Thane, Jul 13 A realty engineer, who as of late purchased a Rolls Royce vehicle worth Rs 8 crore, was reserved by the Thane police for a situation of supposed power burglary of around Rs 35,000, which provoked him to pay the whole sum.

In view of an objection of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL or Mahavitaran), the police in Kalyan town had enrolled an instance of force robbery against the designer, Sanjay Gaikwad, on June 30, the state-run power utility said. On July 12, Gaikwad paid an amount of Rs 49,840, which included Rs 34,840 towards “power burglary” and Rs 15,000 as “settlement sum”, MSEDCL said in a delivery on Monday night. The designer claims top of the line vehicles and as of late bought a Rolls Royce worth around Rs 8 crore. A photograph of Gaikwad standing other than his new vehicle had showed up via online media last month. As indicated by the delivery, during assaults on building locales in Kalyan, an instance of force pilferage became visible wherein power was being drawn without introducing a meter. A flying crew identified the force burglary in March 2021 at a building site of Gaikwad, it said. In spite of notification, Gaikwad didn’t pay the sum which was expected after which an instance of force burglary was enrolled against him, MSEDCL said. Following the enrollment of the case, the designer paid the whole sum on Monday, it said. Taking to the media, Gaikwad said it was a “specialized issue” yet Mahavitaran had exposed it to slander him.
