An effort to vaccinate everyone in the capital, New Delhi administration is setting up vaccination centers at IGI Airport, Chhath ghats and a trade fair.
The airport center will be inaugurated at noon on November 10, Wednesday, on the day of Chhath Puja.
Another vaccination camp will be running during the 14-day trade fair at ITPO Pragati Maidan from November 14 to 27. The trade fair resumed for the first time after the pandemic. At all these sites, both first and second doses (for those due), will be available for both Covaxin and Covishield.
The airport center intends to vaccinate the airport crew, staff, passengers, public and other stake holders at the airport in collaboration with Delhi International Airport Limited. New Delhi administration on Tuesday held a meeting with taxi associations to mobilise maximum participation.
To ensure everyone in Delhi is fully vaccinated, it will also set up camps at five Chhath ghats on November 10. The five Chhath ghats are DMS Park (Chanakyapuri), Nehru Park, Sanjay Jhil Park, Rani Jhansi Park and Munirka Village. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is expected to attend the Chhath Puja at the DMS Park.
Other than that, it has also been vaccinating construction workers and residents of cluster colonies, including those, who did not have government identity proof. To ensure that ‘no one is left behind’, the administration has initiated ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ (knocking every door) campaign.
