Russia suffers deadliest September since WWII as 44,265 die of COVID-19

Russia suffered its deadliest September since World War II, according to data published by Federal State Statistics Service. There were 44,265 COVID-19 deaths last month, the Federal State Statistics Service figures revealed. “If the authorities’ approach to fighting COVID-19 doesn’t change radically, we can expect new waves of infections,” said a former Federal State Statistics Service employee.
