The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the setting up of seven Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks with an outlay of ₹4,445 crore for next five years. The parks, which will have world-class industrial infrastructure, “will boost FDI and local investment in the sector”, the government said. They will generate 21 lakh direct and indirect jobs, it added.
