The Gujarat government has supported a climb of 11% in dearness remittance (DA) for state government workers, just as beneficiaries, with review impact from July 1, news organization PTI has revealed citing vice president serve Nitin Patel. The ascent, which was approved on Monday, takes the general DA rate to 28 percent, up from the current pace of 17% of the essential compensation.
“The new DA rate supported by the Gujarat government is at standard with that being given by the Union government to its workers and beneficiaries. The Center had, in July, raised the dearness remittance for its workers from 17% to 28 percent. Since we typically follow focal DA rates, and make modifications as needs be, it was chosen to raise the rate from 17% to 28 percent,” Patel said. He added that the move will benefit as numerous as 9.61 lakh individuals utilized under the state government, just as 4.5 lakh retired people who are covered under the seventh Pay Commission.
The climb will include some major disadvantages of ₹378 crore each month to the state exchequer, Patel further said. “The new DA will reflect in compensation for the period of September. Back payments for July will be paid in October, while those for August will be made in January one year from now,” he said.
