India has broken the previous single-day COVID-19 vaccination record of 1.33 crore doses by administering over 2 crore doses in around 10 hours on PM Narendra Modi’s birthday on Friday, according to CoWIN. “I believe that today we’ll make a new record of vaccination and give it as a gift to the PM,” Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said earlier.
