The Centre told Supreme Court on Thursday that wider roads are needed in Char Dham mountain region of Uttarakhand. “The Army has to take the BrahMos [missile]…How do we go if the roads are not wide enough?” the Centre further said, adding, “We have to defend the country…roads have to be made available to the Line of Actual Control (LAC).”
