Indian Railways has given jobs to more than 2,800 people who are family members of its employees who died of COVID-19 on compassionate grounds. The minor children of deceased employees will get a job when they turn 18, the Ministry of Railways said. Indian Railways lost 3,256 of its employees while working during the COVID-19 pandemic since March 2020.
