What caused heavy rainfall in several parts of India in October?

Several parts of India including Delhi, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand have been receiving heavy rainfall which scientists say is because of the delayed monsoon and development of low-pressure areas at multiple places. Last week, two low-pressure systems were active simultaneously, one each over Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal regions. Collectively, these triggered severe weather events.
