The government on Friday extended Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das’ tenure by three more years. The reappointment is effective for three years beyond December 10, 2021, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, an official statement said. Das was appointed as the 25th Governor of the RBI in December 2018 after Urjit Patel resigned from the post.
