Genomic observation by the Maharashtra wellbeing office has distinguished 45 instances of Delta Plus variation of COVID-19 across the state, with six cases in Mumbai and three in Pune. Thirteen cases have been distinguished in Jalgaon, 11 in Ratnagiri and five in Thane. One case each has been distinguished in Palghar, Beed, Aurangabad, Sindhudurg, Nandurbar, Akola and Sangli.
