SILIGURI: A Class 10 understudy was hacked to death by a 25-year-elderly person in north Bengal’s Aipurduar region on Wednesday, purportedly angry that she held fast and kept on dismissing his advances, police said.
The young lady, a 14-year-old, was preparing for school when the blamed, recognized by the police as Swapan Biswas, accompanied a sharp weapon and assaulted her on the neck. Such was the fierceness of the assault that the casualties head was almost cut off from her body.
The young lady’s folks fill in as workers in rural fields.
Bholanath Pandey, administrator of police, Alipurduar region said: “Biswas’ advances were dismissed by the understudy a few times and out of wrath he more likely than not killed her.”
Kalicharn Shil, the casualty’s uncle, said she kicked the bucket in practically no time. “Biswas assaulted her with a sharp weapon. The assault was ruthless to the point that her head was nearly cut off from the body. She fell on the ground and kicked the bucket on the spot”.
Her educator at Paronger Par Sishu Kalyan Uchcha Bidyalay where the young lady examined said, “She was an awesome understudy and had an exceptionally splendid future. I can’t envision she would bite the dust in such a way.”
Pradip Kumar Shil, a neighbor said: “The casualty informed her folks regarding Biswas’ advances. However, we never felt that he would kill her. She was cheerful after the school had returned after very nearly two years.”
West Bengal’s rules for returning schools told on Sunday permit Classes 10 and 12 understudies to go to disconnected classes each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
