The government named eight states/UTs where COVID-19 multiplication number (Rt) is over 1. Rt for Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir is 1.4. It’s 1.3 for Lakshadweep and 1.2 for Tamil Nadu, Mizoram and Karnataka. Rt for Puducherry and Kerala is 1.1. Rt is the normal number of new diseases created by one COVID-19 tainted individual during whole irresistible period.

Reproduction Number (Rt) is the average number of new infections generated by one #COVID19 infected individual during the entire infectious period
Rt for India is 1.2 which means one infected individual infects more than 1 (1.2) individual on on average
