The ICC will replace the term ‘batsman’ with gender-neutral ‘batter’ in all its playing conditions starting with the men’s T20 World Cup 2021. Earlier, the MCC announced it would replace ‘batsman’ with ‘batter’ in the Laws of Cricket. The ICC said they don’t want any girl in the world to not feel like cricket isn’t for her because of language.
